This is the Owners Manual for the
Mini Stage 2 portable heated stage.
INTRODUCTION
General Information
The ERG Mini-Stage 2 is intended for use both in the veld and in the laboratory.
The stage surface is specially treated to enhance the heat radiation properties so that heat is transferred to the slide by both contact conduction and radiation.
This means that specimen warming is more effective when conditions are difficult such as in a cooling air flow.
In the working area the operator has the choice of using a 24mm x 4mm slot or a 13mm round hole for examination purposes.
The stage platform accommodates two slides. One on the examination area and another alongside for warming.
Temperature Control
At the end of the cast block (opposite the power cable plug) is a temperature trimming adjustment.
The stage is factory set to 37 C when this control is set in the centre of the adjustment range.
The temperature can be increased or decreased by approximately 2 C by turning the trimmer adjustment either clockwise or anticlockwise..
Use Of The Stage
If the stage is to be used from a vehicle, plug the car adapter into the cigarette lighter socket and plug the stage into the adapter.
For use from 220 volt mains plug the mains power supply into a wall socket and plug the stage into the power supply.
The lamp on the cast block shines red when heating power is applied to the stage and green when the desired temperature has been reached.

Die werksoppervlakte van die plaat is spesiaal behandel om hitte-oordrag na die voorwerpglasie te optimaliseer deur beide kontak-geleiding en straling. Dit beteken dat die werkstemperatuur doeltreffend gehandhaaf kan word onder veldtoestande.
Die plaat is ontwerp om in die standaard voorwerpglasieknip van meeste gewilde mikroskope te pas. In die werksarea het die operateur die keuse om 'n spleet van 24mm x 4mm of 'n 13mm ronde opening vir ondersoeke te gebruik.Die ontwerp laat ondersoeke van 'n deursnit of 'n radius toe vir 'n standaard dekglasie van 22mm x 22mm toe, met 'n minimum hitteverlies oor die ondersoekarea. Die area langs die werksarea is groot genoeg om standaard woorwerpglasies warm te hou.
Temperatuurbeheer
Die temperatuur kan met ongeveer 2 C verhoog of verlaag vord deur respektiewelik 'n kloksgewyse of anti-kloksgewyse verstelling te maak aan die teenoorgestelde kant van die kragkabel koppeling. Die verwarmingsplaat is fabrieks-ingestel om 'n temperatuur van 37 C te handhaaf wanneer die middelpunt gestel is.
Gebruiksaanwysings
Kragvoorsiening is 220v hoofkrag of 12v motorbattery.
Vir hoofkrag gebruik word 'n transformator voorsien wat direk by 'n 220v muursok gekoppel kan word.
'n Kabel met sigaretaansteker koppeling word voorsien vir 12v gebruik.
Die liggie bo-op die gietstuk skyn rooi wanneer verwarmingskrag aangewend word en verander na groen wanneer die gewenste temperatuur bereik word.
